It has bean wonderful crafting The Foundry slowly into the incredible space you will all soon enjoy, but let's talk beans for a little bit-- coffee beans to be exact.
We've put a lot of thought into the quality of ingredients with The Foundry food as well as the quality of preparation and presentation, so we want to bring you the very best when it comes to coffee as well.
For a lot of our guests, coffee (and dessert) will be the last thing he or she has before leaving, so we want to be sure everyone leaves with a good taste in their mouth-- literally!
Thus, our search for the best coffee began.
By an act of fate, we were contacted to cater the wedding of a close family friend of the Ohiopyle Coffee Roasters. While visiting their home for the wedding tasting, the family was kind enough to walk us through the roasting process from start to finish. In the midst of learning how to choose the bean, to the flavors of each region, to the differences in creating their light, medium, dark, and special roasts, we fell in love with their love of the craft, and their passion for coffee roasting.
Thus we bring you the exclusive coffee of The Foundry: Ohiopyle Coffee Roasters.
We are fans of coffee, which means we take this seriously. But, enough about us.
Ohiopyle Coffee Roasters is a small batch roaster that is dedicated to providing freshly-roasted coffee (from fresh green bean to a perfected roast profile). We were sold on taste alone, however, we are also committed to supporting local farms, breweries, distilleries, artists, and other small artisan business, thus a perfect match was made.
We will be offering Ohiopyle Coffee Roasters coffee in a variety of taste profiles, including a Costa Rican blend that has tart lemon and soft chocolate flavors, a Sumatran blend with a good citric acidity and a sweet cedar aftertaste, a Rwandan blend with heavy and sweet savory fruit taste, and even a Decaf option with sweet orange and chocolate aromatics.
We can't wait to bring you the very best in coffee, including a table-side preparation of French Press style, with the opening of The Foundry.
Until then, stay tuned for more updates or get your reservation today.
